It had never occured that what you will read here could happen. So many times it was said the bible tells about people who are demon possessed. Another term for a demon is a spirit. Spirits are able to oppress some people, that is not possession. A spirit is able to work within a person to manifest some outer activity of darkness. One time the Apostle Peter was rebuked by Jesus. He told Jesus he shouldn't go to Jerusalem. Jesus rebuked him but was speaking to the devil.
It did not come to mind till recently that if a spirit can live within and possess a person, Then why cannot the Holy Spirit possess a Christian. The reason he cannot is because he gives the choice of using faith. We are given freedom to make the right choices. The difference is we can yield and allow him to have his way and actually work through us. He will then allow us to put our self life to death to live his life through us. It is not control as much as it is consent. We say Lord live through me literally and bear much fruit.
He sometimes will instruct us to do things we don't understand but will still show us clearly the way astep at a time. For example after worshipping the Lord today while in the yard I shared Jesus with the two plumbers working on our water lines. Everything was so easy as he took control and opened up with what to say to get the conversation going.
It turned out they were both saved and so we had a little fellowship about the Lord. It was a big blessing. You could feel God's presence and it appears that they did to. The king within is on the throne of our lives as we let him have control of our lives.
