Gen. 50:24 a promise to remember.

It is very profitable to study the bible concerning promises that God made and fulfilled.  That will help your faith when you claim his promises. People lie to us all the time but God cannot lie. Liars  reap what they sow.
Joseph is telling his brethren that God has promised that they will go into the promised land.  This is a future promise which was fulfilled when Joshua led them in.  Joshua was really following the captain of the Lord's hosts.
It was God who brought them in.  When we pray in faith, we can expect that all God's promises to us shall be fulfilled.  Remember that the devil promised Jesus the kingdoms of the world in Matt. 4:.  he will bless in order to trick us thinking things are from the Lord.  The bible says every good and perfect gift comes from the father.  So be careful about rich people who say God made them rich.  Those who are blessed by God live a fruitful and good life.  The magicians through down  magic serpents but Moses was not a illusion and it devoured theirs. So things can appear the same but you have to discern them.  When Israel saw the serpent in the wilderness they were remembering that Moses rod was a sign that God could do miracles.  Both God and the devil make promises.  God's give life the devil's leads to destruction and makes happy for a short while.

Gen. 49: old ages final testimony.

As you read this chapter, Jacob speaks about God to the very last moment.  He blesses his sons. He desires to be buried with the great people of God.
Under my observance,  being in many nursing homes and around the elderly, it is far from the same.  You hear murmering and complaining.  The things they say, sometimes hateful are expressions of their hypocracy.  They speak religiously but have a ungodly talk and life to follow.  They no longer have the strength to pretend they are christians.  What is in the heart manifests.  We keep them in our prayers and love them anyway.  May we all get the thing in our hearts and live it so we will be a testimony to our children of what we believe and really are.  We can still be fruitful in old age and Jesus joy will overcome all self pity.  He promises our leaves will never wither Psalm 1:  2Tim. 1:7  promises we shall have a sound mind always.  We can have faith if we don't doubt God's word.

Gen. 48: a blind man and a seeing God.

We all are blind to God's choices.  My mother in law is blind in one eye, and with alzheimers she sees things that are not there constantly.  She is a example of one who cannot trust herself to see clearly. She goes about thinking she is okay though.  God continues to humble me all the time when he shows me I'm not seeing things clearly.  Am thankful for that it helps alot when he does.  We have a tendency to judge people on our own.  Blind Jacob depends here on God . Joseph doesn't understand why he chooses to bless Ephraim.    It was like that when Samuel would choose a man from Jesse's family.  God's choice was David.  That real bad person we know now may be a wonderful pwrson in the future.  God gives people lessons to turn them around.   King Nebuchadnezzar was a real proud king . He reminds of the story of beauty and the beast.  Dan. 4: shows he repented of his hard hearted pride.  God can do that to anyone.  God can save our loved ones.  I have seen some miserable people, joy of the Lord is the ownly answer.  We desire the Lord to give us 20/20 vision----that in a spiritual sense would be God see things clearly through our eyes so we can see them like you do.  Prayer Lord help us to forgive all our enemies and live in peace. Also may all people reach their full potential in God.  May we see how valuable the things of God really are and be thankful for them.  Praise be unto our father in Jesus name.

Gen. 47: God's leadership plan.

1. Joseph knows that Shepherds are a abomination to the Egyptians.  His family were Shepherds. He doesn't tell them to lie to Pharaoh, but say they are cattle herders.  That was in the end of chapter 46:.
2.  Over time all that the Egyptians have must purchase food for them to live.  Joseph's loyalty to Pharaoh is tremendous. All the people and cattle and land become Pharoah's.
Joseph shows loyalty and wisdom to his leader.
We wonder how we can honor leaders we don't approve of. It tells us to pray for our leaders. Rom. 13:1-3  shows us to obey authorities.  It is not possible to pray for those we do not like.  Joseph was thrown in prison two years by Pharaoh before time came for him to be leader.  Here in ch. 47 he is profit to Pharoah and continual blessing his nation.
3.  He cares for his family who also did him wrong.
4.  Joseph is a servant to Egypt and Egypt was in a way given to him to be a good steward of.
A friend of mine named Gene, is a man who has been very helpful to many who would stop his progress.  Instead he didn't give up but kept on pushing what he knew to be a good thing.  When he was successful getting the things to pass, many peoples lives were blessed.  His dream is one day to be in congress to help do other things for good people--amazing he has already started helping people.
He even helps others like myself to keep believing God to fulfill your dreams.
Godly men  are very good at doing good things, they look to God. They may not be everything people would like, but you can't please everybody.

Gen. 46:34 a Shepherd is a abomination.

Egypt was a pagan idol worship nation.  Joseph had favor with them just because of the God he believed in who could give him a gift of telling dreams and their meaning.  That's amazing.  It reminds of when Jesus said you follow me because of the bread I give you.  The world thinks the same today. If a Shepherd (pastor)  preaches things which say separate from the world and live a holy life,  They will be a abomination.  Jesus was considered that also. He said you know the world hated me, it will hate you also. Jn. 15:18 .
A good friend of mine said to me, the good that I was doing they tried to stop it and crucified me.  After he diligently stood against the odds, the thing he did blessed thousands of people.  It is written ,the good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.  I love Peter, he was a example about how God turns things around to work for the good.  He denied the Lord out of fear and that teaches us what we may face. We will not deny our Lord--even if forced to take the mark of 666.  If you get to study what John. said about one of Peter's denials, it appears that Malchus was one of them.  He was the one Peter cut off his ear and Jesus reattached it.   What about that.  He was also kin to the leadership of the the hypocritical Israel priest.
If Peter told him he had cut off his ear and Jesus put it back it could be bad.
By  experience I have known a few who were persecuted for their faith.  If you are worldly as a Shepherd they may accept you, maybe down the road they will demand that you renounce Jesus.  I have known of those who pray in school and are thrown out. That is if they pray to Jesus. All others are allowed.
We are not to fear, just be aware true Shepherds are not  the standard accepted.

Gen. 45:26-27 hold fast and overcome doubt.

What a great example here of how that what we are believing God for is just about to manifest.  Jacob is wrestling with doubt and doesn't believe the words his sons speak.  All of a sudden there is a comfirmation. Joseph sent evidence for the father to see that their words were true.   it is a strong picture here that if he had doubt, it would soon be removed.   Peter stepped out on the water but doubted  when he saw the waves coming.  If he waited a little longer he would have had the victory. His focus was on the waves not Jesus.  Jacob didn't have his focus on God who promised that he would have the blessing.
The wonderful thing is the holding fast to a promise. We tend to look at situations negatively. We are learning to trust and know God cannot let us down. He is the one who promised.  It will take the same faith to believe that we will be caught away in the rapture. Those who wait in the grave already have believed that they will go up.  The people we see in the N.T. who were healed Jesus told them let it be to you according to your faith. Peter wouldn't have sunk in water if he had faith.  When he cried Jesus help me that was faith that he would save him.

Gen. 44:10-12 cup of a servant

There is a difference in cups, when it comes to servants.  This is a cup of divination. Some have had the understanding that Pharaoh is a type of Satan and Egypt of the world.  Joseph has been planted there to overcome evil with good.  in 1Cor. 10:21  you cannot drink the cup of  the Lord and also of devils.  The Lord told his disciples that when people take the cup they must discern the Lord's body.  The cup is to remind of the Lord's blood to forgive sins.  That would be another cup if people want to live in sin after drinking to remember his forgiveness.  To belong to a religious cult and drink their cup would be a union with their wickedness.
When we drink of Jesus cup we are surrendering ourselves to be his servant .In Rom.8:6  to be carnal minded or spiritual minded  all the time.  Many people are spiritual minded on Sunday.  What a blessing to serve  God full time.

Gen. 43:11 there must be a payment.

This is not the first time that Jacob sends a present to make a peace with them who he feels would harm him.
He did the same with Esau thinking he would harm him for taking the blessing of inheritance   We notice that it is the blessings he obtained that he would use for protection.
Think of it, we have done God wrong by sinning. We have done many things as a non-Christian that were perhaps horrible. Then as a Christian we sometimes transgress.  There is a difference.  We can now bring a offering to the father, who will then assure we are protected and forgiven. The offering made once for all.  Jesus the sweet smelling offering--the Lamb of God.  There is no other gift we can bring.  The payment must be without good works and only by the finished work of Calvary.his work finished  Now we have to endure and keep the salvation that he died to give us.   read Matt. 24:48-51  carefully. the servant in these verses calls him Lord and he is the Lord of that servant.  He lives the wrong way and will find himself like the ones who don't believe and live it.  We can repent if we are on wrong track. We can bring the gift to God of his son.

Gen. 42:28 blaming God.

There are a lot of people that blame God for what has happened to them.  Job was one. He didn't know it was the devil. Job ch.1: shows the devil requested to go down and do wrong to Job.  He blamed God for it.
It is seemingly a easy thing to blame somebody even if we don't know who to really blame.
We see through the bible that God is always delivering after he may have allowed something.  It was really for their good, they must bring their brother to Joseph. Joseph blessed them and gave a dream from God. They treated him wrongly.  42:9 shows Joseph remembered the dreams.  42:6  shows that he is seeing the dream fulfilled for they are bowing and making reverence to him.
That is a wonderful day that really looks bad to them at the time.  Perhaps instead of blaming God we should ask is this for my betterment or even blessing.  God is working secretly and has our best interests in heart and even has plans to make it all work for our good.

Gen. 41:16 and 38 mercy the big picture.

It would be good to read the whole chapter.  Here is a man.  He is Joseph.  A slave who was so mistreated that he was throne in prison.  It would be easy to miss the thing God was doing to vindicate his servant.  He is noted for not being alone for he is seen to have the Holy Spirit with him.  Surely everyone sees it is a mistake to throw him in prison being he couldn't operate in a gift of revealing dreams unless he was blessed of a---the God.
God alone sees to it that he is rewarded for his years of prison.  We sometimes feel we are in some kind of prison, till all of a sudden some mercy from God sets us free.  The gift God gave him to use set him free.  Just to tell of mine---when I feel tempted to feel the weight of trials and troubles I use the gift of music to comfort my soul.  God has blessed with one of the most wonderful gifts that the world has never heard.  It is like a bird singing in a cage.  The bird is all locked up and alone and yet he sings just like he is really free.
It was the gift that God gave him that made him free and victorious in life.  If we relate it to the gimmick thing, Joseph never gave money to get all that prosperity Egypt gave him.  No give to get schemes.  Magicians and other people are of no help.  Witchcraft is meant to destroy and so that's why it will take God to do a positive life giving thing.  That is why for many people the world is falling apart around them.  The world doesn't look to God who is the only answer.
prosperity comes to those who are righteous and good.  Even though mistreated.  The blessing of God is only on the things he gives.  You won't have to even make payments on those things.  Faith is a way of trusting God to supply everything.  We may not have everything at once, but we have it in God's timing.  God's mercy extended to all Egypt as well as Joseph's family and then the world----even though Joseph was mistreated.  He learned to forgive though.  The value of forgiveness will pay off when it is time to stand before God in the future.

Gen. 40:4 souls in our care.

We see here that when Joseph is given responsibility to care for the Baker and Butler,  it is like they are turned over into the hands of God.  The dreams were given by God and interpreted by God through his servant.  It is the same for the Christian.  No matter how the souls in our ministry in life may act, we are caring for them.  We pray and all the rest for them.  They may be rebelious and proud but we are just servants.  We see two opposites.  One will die according to Joseph. The other will live according to Joseph.  That is a large understanding.  Souls in our care are a gift of responsibility.  In this case the lives of two.
False prophesy and misuse of the word of God shall be dealt with by God.  Those who mistreat or abuse God's people may answer now or later.  Some places called church are guilty of sending the poor away. That is because they have nothing to give.  In the last post we speak about gimmicks to get the money.  The  bible is the only thing God gave us to follow.  We cannot add to it or take away.  Even revelations must line up with the bible teaching.   What a trrible thing to ministefr good and bad at the same time. Doctrine keeps us in the safe zone.  May we trust the Holy Spirit to deal with souls entrusted to us God's way.

Gen. 39:2-3 no gimmicks needed.

No he didn't even do anything to get that many colored coat from his father.  All he had was given him. It was taken away by his brothers.  Are they who say they are ministers and our brothers do they try to trick us out of our money by false so called bible principles.  Joseph served as a slave in Pharoah's house.  He was there out of his being made a slave.  God was with him that is all.  He wasn't able to go to church.  I am just talking ideas here I know there was no church.  God was all he had---no gimmicks.  But don't quit me now---he was righteous.  Matt. 6:33 says seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added.  Those in the O.T.  times did offer the blood of sacrifice at the alter.
Joseph's faith was in God.  The new covenant under Christ  has different ways to act faith.  Note Joseph wasn't under the law of Moses. ---Also he gave nothing as a tithe.  He couldn't do anything but believe God.  ------------For a long time.  Not only that but God would use him to give freely to his family who didn't even like him.  He would just forgive them.
So how does he prosper without gimmicks?  It was all through his living upright.  He was well trusted by all and that prospered him.  He was ready to help those in prison instead of only thinking of himself.  He learned a lesson that God can prosper and bless even when you lose everything and have to depend on God only.
On thanksgiving many are thankful for just the food.  There are so many more wonderful things God is doing for us each day.
In a church we belonged to in the past  it was only one dollar a year rent. It was a small church who believed God to supply.  The Pastor never asked for money he left a box in the back which said love offering.  He fed the people the word of God abundantly. He earned what went in the box.
God's promises are faithful and true. He promised to supply so we would never have to beg or scheme.  God's people learn and copy their teachers. we need good men who will feed us and not be caught up in activities that everybody likes to keep them in the church.
As  a analogy if we have a computor  with hijackers and malware and adware and cookies etc. we get rid of it fast as possible.  Some people will stay in a church with heresy, false doctrine, gimmicks etc. they will not go to feeding pastures.  It isn't easy to get rid of viruses but it is to get away from the false teachers.

Gen.38 providence reigns.

Here we have a picture of a man who is carrying the seed which will be the Christ.  He is Judah.  He is a whore monger though. He being a brother of Joseph, would have Joseph killed along with his other brothers help.  God sends  Pharoah's men just in time to bring Joseph to Egypt as a slave.  This would preserve Israel from destruction by famine  in the future. Joseph would become a great leader.
God caused the right woman to carry Judah's seed instead of just any woman.  She bare a son who would be the geneological generation that leads to Joseph and Mary.  We see that God has well planned everything to go according to his will.  The same goes for all his people.
Spiritually speaking,  Israel is considered a unfaithful woman who Jesus came forth from. Though they rejected him as Messiah he is going to come one day and show mercy and convince her he is the Messiah they are looking for.

Gen. 37:8 hate developed from not understanding.

Joseph told his dreams from God.  The world will not receive us for the things we believe about God.
The brothers completely hated him though he was not telling just dreams.  He was getting them from God almighty.  More than that, the dreams were including their future hope. They were actually presented so they would reject him and send him away to the place that would bring the fulfillment of the
dream that would bless them.     Jesus came saying he was the son of God and they called him a blasphemer. If they knew that was true they wouldn't send him to the cross.
So we learn that it is possible to tell the truth and be rejected and yet God turn it around for good.
I have seen the devil slap himself many a time when he tried to do me wrong and it turned out to be a blessing in disquise.
I remenber one day in the past when out sharing Jesus to a kid when a gang wanted to have me take them for a ride in my car.  They were all in the back seat.  The Holy Spirit peace was all over me. The Lord gave me a word of Knowledge and I began telling it.  It was the story of Samson. I told them how he used the jawbone of a donkey to whoop many people. As I was telling I found myself slapping the seat real hard.  Never could have thought to do that in a million years.
They all were scared stiff and wanted out of the car right now.  Better have God with you when you witness.  He protects us.  What a wonderful blessing for me as I learned how God would do anything to protect me as a witness . All we say to others about God should benefit them.  Their wrong reaction would  possibly hinder the good for them.

Gen. 36:1 choices that sometimes catch up in time.

Esau which is Edom.     All is going well for a long time. Esau chose to forfeit his blessing to Jacob.
it  is providentially ordained by God the blessing. Jacob got it and you can see him go right into it.
Esau seems to be okay. Generations come and go but eventually he has a future that will be a disaster.
Esau didn't know the future of his line.
It all started when Israel wanted to pass through Edom which was Esau's land.  They refused to let them through and mistreated them.  Abraham's covenant included blessed are those who bless you and cursed are those who curse you.
In Obadiah the prophet who is found in the minor prophets of the bible ,you can see the destruction of Edom.   All that Esau started ws destroyed all because they were not good to Israel.
One thing that pleases me is that America is helping Israel.  In 1:1-3  we see that pride goes before a fall  and all of the things or even idols people trust in are of no help.  I have seen people who try to get help in their troubles and no one wants to help.
It is a terrible thing to lose all you have and it be given to one who is good before God. Jacob received al the blessings. He was wise in that he knew God is th only way to real blessing. God is dependable in times of trouble Ps. 46:1.

Gen. 35: Doctrine of Christ--- the God man.

Gen. 35:7,9,13   v.7  This is the first time God appears to Jacob
v.9   Now God appears to him again.
v.13   God goes up from talking with him.
notice he's  coming down and going up in order to visit Jacob.  in Gen. 28:12-13  we see the dream he has with both angels and the Lord God on the ladder.  Look at Jn. 1:49-51  it is the same but now it is a better description, it is the son of man, Jesus.
Gen. 32:24  a man wrestles with him. Back up to v.1-2 of 32: and you see Jacob knew the difference. He calls them angels and they are the Lord's hosts.  Joshua calls him the captain of the lord's hosts.
David says the heaven of heaven's cannot contain God.   1Kings 8:27.  When we have the trinity we see God the father and his son Jesus.  Jesus when he appears in the O.T. he is called the pre-incarnate Christ.  God can manifest his personalities in many ways.  The human body--son of man ---was put on God when he was born of Mary by the Holy Spirit.  Holy Spirit is the 3rd personality of the triune God.

It is a very wonderful picture here that Jesus is God and man
Jesus in the O.T. is the pre-incarnate Christ.
The ladder  28:13  shows the Lord God on top of it.
the ladder in Jn. 1:51  shows Jesus the son of man on top. He is the Lord God.  The Father is much to big to see. 1Kings 8:27  David says he is very big.

The Holy Spirit that Jesus said he would send to take his place when he goes away , would make him be even closer to us than Jacob.  send to you John 16:7   and  be in you. John 14:17
God is big enough to bless and protect us.

Gen. 34: Why some are in the church.

In this chapter is a very interesting proof which is much needed today.

Many ministers are not careful to protect their sheep. They are interested in each person being there so to put money in the offering.  They will be very easy on mischievious people with lots of money.  Some who come to visit a church come only for the money.
Here is how the thing about proof comes in.  In this story we see the deceivers saying let us join them and be circumcised.  Then little by little take away their possessions.  That's how covewtous people work.
I have seen more mischief in churches than can be counted.   People creep into the church and leave a bad testimony which others say why do I want to go and be part with that church.
In times of revival you will see people come in that are not known. They are the devils tools to stop revival if they can.
This chap. shows proof of mischievious people who can join in for selfish reasons.  Of coarse we cannot deal with them like O.T. times.  We should be watchful and then use the bible way of  removing problem people.  It's a issue of money or final doom of a church.   Preachers can just shout judge not.  But judgement really is when wicked money lovers carry away all you got.  We see Jacob with a lot of prosperity , not a lot of get rich gimicks teachings.

Gen. 33:20 A thankful alter

In this day and time we don't have to build real stone alters to thank God.  Heb. 12:15  we can offer the sacrifice of praise to God.  All spiritual sacrifices like giving or serving.  Jacob's alter was awesome. it was a reminder that God who wrestled with him delivered him from his brother Esau's wrath. The alter was special to me when I saw it said Israel after God.  It said the mighty God of Israel (Jacob).
All we have to do is Rom.12:1-3  present yourselves a living sacrifice.  Jesus is pleased with our faithfulness to him.

Gen. 32: can he be there?

This chap shows us that there were plural--more than one angel visiting Jacob. verse 1 shows the angels visit him.   Jacob says in v.2  this is the Lord's host-- also known  by Joshua as army of angels.
v.32  Jacob has now wrestled a man and seen God face to face.  Everyone who ever sees God in the old times thought they would die if they saw God.  Samsons parents in Judges ch.13  Manoah and wife thought they would die because the angel they saw was the angel of God.  Note he wouldn't tell his name
to Manoah or even to Jacob.  His name would be kept secret or the Israel nation would know who he was and then never have sent him to the cross.  Isa. ch9:  shows him as wonderful,  councilor, prince of peace etc.
Here is a interesting notation.  1Kings 8:27  It is said here that God is to big to dwell on earth or in the temple.  Then we see the man Jacob is wrestling with is God.  It is obvious that God is able to manifest in many ways according to the way he does his will. That is what the trinity is all about.  The Holy Spirit can dwell within people all over earth at the same time. Jesus--God in the flesh was not in the flesh until born of Mary.Angels are invisible to us. They are still Spiritual beings. They can appear to be seen at any time but are not flesh.  God himself is able to come to Jacob in the manifestation of a solid man to be wrestled with. He had miracle power to touch Jacob's thigh.  That was for a sign not to hurt him.  We remember that God created man out of dust so he has the ability to do even what angels can't.
To conclude we have a God who can manifest as a man, angel, and yet be to big for heaven and earth to hold.  God then can be 3 personalities but not 3 persons. Jesus is God but he took on a flesh body. The father, Holy Spirit, and Jesus are manifestations of the same God. All can do anything and anything and everything.  After all one God can do or be anything.
How much more does God want to come and be with us.  One day he will be with us in the millenial kingdom spoken of in Revelations 20:.  It will be the son of God Jesus. The father will sit on the heavenly throne.  That's 2 manifestations while the 3rd will be the Holy Spirit in his people.

Gen. 31:7-9 God avenges his people

We see hear that Jacob discerns the face against him.  His treatment is bad from Laban.  He shows a good atitude in making a deal with Laban in his wages from now on.   Notice that in v.9  God is the one who has taken away much cattle to give to Jacob.  The wages there may even exceed the rip off from Laban.  It is best when we treat enemies right and allow God to deal with them in his righteous way. All of our enemies think not that they will reap what they sow. It is so much better to forgive knowing that perhaps their lives may be in jeopardy.  I personaly feel good when there is a reconciling and people make it right when they do me wrong.  We shouldn't be happy about others loses, even to us.  Jacob deserved his fair wage though. God didn't hurt Laban just helped him to do what he should have done.  The wisdom of God fixes things in his marvelous way.

Gen. 30:31 proving God.

What a faith here.  Jacob is going to trust God and believe him to supply.  He turns down any pay. He will actually get things that don't even exist yet.  WHAT A RIGHTEOUS MAN TO GIVE FAVOR TO HIS TRICKY UNCLE LABAN.  He had a wife who had a miracle baby.  God gave her that baby. Also another one. God kept covenant with him like Abraham.  He was truly blessed.

Gen. 29 A prosperity question.

To have a job is a blessing.  Jacob went to Laban for meeting his needs and hiding from his brother Esau.
It all came down to getting wages. He was prosperous getting all his needs met by food shelter and those important needs. He would also get a wife who was a special blessing. He had to earn her.  v.15-16.
We see in the study that  v.31  God opened Leah's womb to give birth. Racheal was barren.  in 30:22-23
God gave favor to Rachael and she had a son.  That is a barren woman having a baby.
In Gen. 31:10  God gives dream to Jacob and shows he will prosper him.  This caused him to have much cattle.  30:43   Jacob in this verse is exceeding rich.
a.  we have to rid our minds and hearts of covetousness and get rich quick schemes if we are to be made rich by God.
b.  God helped Racheal have a baby and Jacob to have cattle..
c.  1Jn.2:15  love not the world or the things in the world. to love the world means love not the father is the heart.  What a terrible thing to hate the father God and then to think will see him one day.
d.  God wants to love us and bless us. Jacob inherited the birth right he didn't earn it. We receive Jesus benefits  as joint heirs because he loved the father and gave his life for us.
e. I am a testimony of God's faithfulness. he has been wonderful for many years--no I don't own a cadilac , but drove a free oldsmobile.  God is great and his love to.

Gen. 28:20-21 if God will.

remove the if and you have God's will.  This that he reafirms is the promises already made to Abraham.
When one feels guilty he doesn't feel deserving of God's blessings.  Many mistakes are over looked by God's mercy.
It has a sense of humor about it.  He is going to take Esau's blessing and run off not knowing if he deserves it .  He tricked Esau.  Well if God is with you  then you will know if your blessed. Make sure your heart is right with him.  I personally believe a God who is displeased will not be able to do much for us. He can send grace to bring about our repentance though.
This seems  to be the way that people see God.  One who supplies for us and we are dependant on him.
That is a good thing. We will be very blessed when we commune with him and worship in a deep way. Falling in love with him is far better than anything else. The benefits just seem to come to us as we do.

Gen. 27: fat will dew

God would give abundance of prosperity to him.  When hands were laid on him he did not receive  the literal things into his body. I know that sounds funny. cattle was not inside him.  money wasn't all of the sudden found inside him.  The Old Testament saints laid hands on the innocent victim and they were transferring the sins onto the scapegoat.  He was taken out of the city and then that was a symbol that the sins were carried away.
Therefore we see that sins didn't literally go into Jesus but were carried away as he was a substitute who took the punishment for the sins.
Jacob would receive his blessings one day at a time throughout his life. They came to him--- not out of him.  see--- symbolism is sometimes misinterpreted as literal.   When we drink the cup and eat the bread it is a symbol, not literal as the Catholic priests  proclaim.  They say the blood when swallowed becomes real blood.  Someone said to me ,how can my sins go back and be on him when I sinned in this century.
God wants us to be fat with blessings and have the dew of heaven.  He didn't mean have to sleep outside and be covered with dew in the morning.  Rain and dew are symbols of prosperity and abundant grace.

Gen. 26:12 still 100-fold

He received in the same year a 100-fold.  In Mk 10:30  we have a promise of 100-fold __in this life--.  Issaac received in his life.  Not have to wait to get to heaven.  The reason is that we need a house or land now in order to survive.  It couldn't be the credit or borrowing because they didn't have credit cards in Issaacs days.  He received within a year, not after 30 years of payments.  It is hard for people to wait for God to bring the 100-fold to them.
Mk. 10:29 has the answer.  Jesus must have first place and we must give up all to proclaim the gospel. We have to find God's will for our life. If we love this world more than him we will have the world and not him.
He drives the point home that he will provide abundantly.

Gen. 25:8 good old age.

A godly person will live to be of a good old age.  The question arises well how come good people die young.  By passing the answer that God takes some home early,  we have the understanding that if you are a Christian and do make it out of here you are blessed knowing you will spend eternity with God.  That is all we need to know.  If we walk in God's will we will be blessed--from God.  Everything belongs to God.  Our very breath comes from him.  It is a shame that the point is forgotten that if you have to wait while living here, you should make the best preperation for going there.  Rewards will be according to faithfulness to the Lord.  A wasted life is only due to selfishness.  My wife and grand daughter brought cookies and love to people in the nursing home.  The people they gave cookies to may be their enemies.  The bible says bless your enemies and do good to persecutors.  Matt. 5-7.  So we can do good if we apply ourselves.  Elderly people sit in chairs bored and doing nothing because they give up. They do that partially because they feel no need to good anymore.  Others I have seen in very old age doing good still and they are happy.  Abraham did good in his old age even till his end.  It says he was blessed.

Gen. 24:35 glory to the giver.

The Lord------has blessed my master greatly.  Now he is preparing to give his son a wife.  His son will be blessed to.  Abraham is out to secure for his son a way to continue the people of faith.  A bride for him.
How much more is our father out seeking to prepare for us his will.  My mother in law comments every time I cough.  When she says Lord have mercy I say amen.  Then I confess some faith promises for that to go away.
Providence of God comes in unusual strange ways but it is wonderful how God meets our needs.  He makes us great in wealth according as we have need.  Greedy preachers preach more about giving than anything else.  One preacher says every time he comes on TV that he is believing for 3 million dollars.  He is asking the people because he doesnt have confidence God will hear and answer prayer.  For me it is possible to say a humor thing once in a while, but the gospel is a serious thing  (not morbid)  it produces life when good bible teaching with God's Spirit touching hearts. Not a comedy club.  Foolish jesting just makes it difficult to get God to move on behalf of his people.
The important part of God giving to us is he gets all the glory for what he alone has done.  He may or may not use people but he does do it for us.

Gen. 22:8 God provides

It appears that God is doing something that is not understood by Abraham.  It was a trouble to him because he thought he would carry out to the full the offering of his son.  God's ways seem strange to us but he has our best interests in mind.
1. it was all to reveal God would provide.
2. He was on the Mount where Jesus was the lamb to be offered one day but not in his time.
3.  To be tested was not a bad thing but a good one.
To have faith in this day and time we now live in is very difficult. The be obedient part is to hard for people to handle.  If a person is asked to believe a promise for healing, They will go to man for help.
The same for Abraham to do a thing that seems to hurt. People today will not do a thing they think will hurt. Pain is the thing they will not tolerate . No way then are they going to offer their Issaac.
The promise of God to Abraham was he will provide.  God will provide for us the same. like the lamb, our healing by God's power is a sure thing.. He will provide our healing.
It is certain that we will come to no harm---not even the Drs. possible mistakes.

God provided the Lamb for us. Matt. 8:17 KJV.

Gen. 21:1,22,33 3 steps to faith.

1.  v.1  The promise God makes is backed up by the word that he had spoken.  God fulfilled the word of promise that he spoke to them.  Heb. 1: He has spoken to us by his son.  All that is in the new testament is his word to us.
2.  v.22  Even others saw that God was with Abraham in all he does.  Isaiah was made to understand this and uses the word God is with us ---Immanuel.--God is with us. He is in us by the Holy Spirit.
3.  v.33  The everlasting God---  This is who God is.  Not just any god.  eternal God reveals his faithfulness to do all he has said he would do. He isn't limited by time, he is in the now in our yesterday, today and tomorrow all at the same moment.  As we sit in what is called time, God is already working in our tomorrows to bless ,provide and give victory in every way.---stay focused on him he will do wonders. He actually has done wonders in our tomorrows before they get here.  One example of this truth is the book of Revelation from chapter 4:  on is all future we haven't seen yet.  It all appears as if done in detail.  We who are his sons are seen there also in the millenium and heaven places.

summary----God is faithful to his promises,  he is with us, and he is already working in our tomorrows.  The rest is just believe it and that is faith.

Gen. 20:4-6 Sleep or no sleep --God visits.

It was exciting just to see that God was willing to protect many or just one person.  Here he protects one, Sarah.  In Egypt he protects many and delivers them out of Egypt. He uses Moses. Here he uses a king.
Kings and Pharaohs are subject to him.
Here a king has a dream and yet it is God talking to him.  He is always talking to those who aren't born again. They need to listen.  Notice this is a king and he dreams.  In Esther the king  Ahazerous cannot sleep and have a dream but God caused him to see Mordecai was forgotten.  That was at the time he should be hanged. instead he is protected and given honor by the king.
The important thing to remember is we are dealing with a God of great wisdom.  He uses many means to do great things.  We just need to know that God doesn't just do a thing, but he does a great thing out of the treasures of his wisdom.
The more you study the bible you will find that God is very wise and extremely inteligent.  Ask questions about why he does a thing the way he does. Don't be surprized if you can't understand it all.

Gen. 19:21 Does God listen?

It is so encouraging to see God say--- see I have accepted thee in this also.
The prayer that was prayed was given, and went through the God of wisdom beyond human comprehension.  We see God's awesome decision.  Do you see the invite there?  Nothing was to trivial, or much to ask.  It appears that a man is talking with another man.  The possibilities sudjest details consider. That would show how God could stand before Moses and say the details of the tabernacle.
The authority of God is there.  God made decision and gave permission.  I feel the fear of God as I tell this wonderful news that God listens. He knows my heart completely. I lean on his mercies at this time.
I give him more than words from my lips when I say I love him.  I hear him now in the distant thunder. Oh the great power he has , to ask him to do for me and  consider all my other requests of the past.
Over a year ago was standing in the living room and praying.  It was spoken to me a mystery. It was something not known and it came very clear to me.  A little over a year later was reading a commentary on the bible and there was the same word for word mystery.
Remember how God came and talked with Adam and Eve in the garden?  God spoke to them very clearly and they were in hiding.

The mysterry of Adam ,was that Jesus is called the 2nd Adam.  Out of Adam's side came his bride Eve.  Out of Jesus side came the bride of Christ. They are those who believe in the blood as a atonement for the forgiveness of sins. That blood purchased our redemption. We then became his spiritual bride.

Gen. 18:33 a talk with God.

Here is a man who has the priviledge to talk with God and God talk back.  It is very evident where the bible comes from in this.  The whole O.T. shows this that God talks with people.  The N.T. shows God talks to people through the son of God.  Jesus baptism shows where the father says this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. He couldn't be a sinner then.  If he is a son he doesn't have to be born again.  He is a son then.  He pleased the father.  He heard the father and obeyed him in all things.
Hagar left home and God spoke to her to tell her go back home.
Paul heard God by the Holy Spirit.  The Spirit and Jesus are always in union.  Jacob heard God speak and wrestled with him.  That's why the angel couldn't tell him his name.  His name was not ever revealed till the N.T..    Isaiah also called him wonderful----and councilor, prince of peace.  He told Jacob his name was wonderful.
Jesus was the Prophet who spoke to the first saints.  personally.  That is God speaking to people.
Here is one of many testimonies that happened to me.  Was out sharing the gospel in Fla.  went to a neighborhood area.  The instructions came clearly to me ,  turn right.  went down one block---turn right again.  Went down half a block and therre was a group of several people in the yard.  Then I knew this was the place.  I shared the gospel with them and everyone prayed that was there and received Jesus as their savior.  They were all joyful after that.
Another time a fellow said to me the Lord told him to meet my need. he put 80 bucks in my hand. I didn't even know him. He drove me home because I needed a ride.  He handed me some tapes because his tape player was broken. The tapes were from a church  2 hours away and the other 12 hours away. both in which I had attended.    One thing for sure he answers prayers which he hears. He is a living God and personally involved with us.

Gen. 17:6-8 no gimmicks

We see in this passage, God giving all these things.  He gives Abraham a covenant, Canaan, and a nation.  No money was asked for. No give to get principles.  Just a faith that believes God.  It is after doubt and unbelief come in that people start having to do things to make money. ____God is still God though!!!------  Many ministers have fallen into mischief because they don't trust God when they cannot see God working.  God is always at work.

The point to make here is that a son of God doesn't have to beg and plead with God.  He is a son or daughter of the most high.  Look at this.  Gen. 18:14 is anything to hard for the Lord.
Rom. 4:13  shows Abraham will be the heir of the world.
4:16  shows that the seed which is us, by faith also. He is the father of us.  Jesus came from his descendancy. Matt. 21:38  Jesus here is now the heir of the world.
In Jn. 15:15  no longer will we be called servants but friends.  Abraham was called the friend of God.
Heb. 1:2  Jesus takes on the seed and he is heir of the world.
1 Cor. 3:21-23  all things are yours---the world and everything else.  That is because it all belongs to Jesus now.
Rom. 8:17  we are his sons and joint heirs with him.  *******************************
Many think they own things who buy them with a credit card. They are making payments now but it isn't theirs till payed for.  Also they will pay more because of interest rates.  Abraham is a good example of contentment, he lived in a tent. He was still happy with what he had.

Consider this---maybe you don't have a faith manifested house because God knew the time it takes to sell a house nowadays.  Then he may want you to be ready to move where he leads you. In this times many are departing from the faith and then you find the Assembly your in closes and you have to move where another one is.  A house could hold you up in that situation.

When God takes first place in your life many things  must take second place.  God wants us to be heirs together with him.
Rom. 5:3-5  putting all these 3 together we see that  as we patiently wait in hope of what God promised us, the love of his Holy Spirit will be working wonderfully in love in our hearts to help us endure the waiting period.  That is why the trying of our faith is more precious than gold.  We will experience God tremendously in order that we grow closer to him and fulfil his will for us.  Then all of a sudden we are blessed in life with him and then there that thing we prayed for appears.  My laptop went dead for a few days, I prayed,  all of a sudden it was working again.  God has done so many awesome wonderful things for me, no need to question him about other things.  God bless.

Gen. 16:10-11 God hears Hagar.

What a comforting message we have here.  There was a problem with Hagar and Sarah.  in v.9  God tells Hagar to go back to Sarah. Hagar was having trouble with Sarah. She did go back because now she knew God's will.  It appears Sarah was the problem.  We may have to be around people who don't like us in order to accomplish God's will.  Especially in the work place.  Hagar went back.  She was blessed with favor and good things come our way when we are in God's will.  Moses hung out with a people who wanted to stone him--his own people.  Mercy is a great thing as we live around those who don't like us.  God gives us more attention in those times to comfort and bless us.
I have experienced this myself. Never knew so many people were standing with me in my hard times. it is all grace. It was when things were going wrong that I found how much they cared. He brought them out of the closet so to speak. The steps of the righteous are ordered of the Lord--even if they make mistakes. He keeps us on track.

Gen. 15:8-9 how shall we know?

We see a  real picture of our full redemption here.  Also the quarantee.  It all starts with a question.  Abraham says How shall I know?  Notice that God already revealed that he will give him the full inheritance.  The bible shows us that also.  see Eph. 1:14  ---- Col.1:12----  Col. 3:24--- Heb. 9:15---
in Col.1:12  the word partakers there means associates. We are joined together with Jesus to be receivers of our inheritance.
What is the answer to so many questions that come God's way to receiving from him his wonderful promises. v.9  The answer is a covenant made through sacrifice.  In our case it is Jesus the Lamb. He can pay no more for it is paid in full. Jesus said on the cross it is finished.  The word salvation means the total supply of every need.  it is used many times in the bible . Not just being born again but any blessing God gave. David says it often in the Psalms. The bottom line is Abraham did receive the promise of the land and so did Israel. We have that seed who is Jesus.

Gen. 15:5 innumerable grace

God is tremendous in numbers.  In Heb.12:22  we have the angels are innumerable.  In Heb. 11:12 stars and sand are the same.  If we look around us we see many things in a innumerable  amount. One of the attributes of God speaks of all sufficiency. That would ammount to innumerable sufficiency.  He has forgiven us from innumerable sins.  That is innumerable grace.  We have many enemies. darkness and light don't get along. We must manifest light towards the darkness.  God has promised to be that light.  Through Jesus we have all the light we need to overcome and be victorious.  We must throw out the lying thoughts the enemy place in the mind by casting them down as vain imaginations.  They may come but we confess that is not my life only a passing lying thought planted by the evil one. Remember God looks on the heart not the thoughts--the devil can plant thoughts. We just reject them and say I live by Jesus now.
Yes al that does fit in ith the passage.  We are the seed of Abraham--read Gal.3: all.  We are the innumerable seed--one of them.  We have innumerable graces to help us stay as one of those seeds.
We see disasters around us. They do innumerable damage. When the walls of Jericho fell down , that was a big damage that shows how big the power of God is.  That is a grace of protection that we desire. Looks like the enemy has the upper hand.  It took the hands of one man Samson to pull the pillars of the temple down.  But just think we raise our hands in praise to God and he pulls down strongholds. We are full of God's grace and innumerable love. God fights for us through our praise.

Gen. 15:1 more than a shield of metal.

We have some wonderful things from the Lord.  It is through understanding that we appropriate them.  It is truly a wonderful blessing to be called to preach.  The easy part is the messsage, it's the reaction from people that is the most difficult.  A person who is open minded will try to figure if the message is from God and then be a loving person by not over stepping his discernment by arguing and those things. Not to say that bad error is to be laughed at.  Well for me I'm a peace maker and still would over turn the tables in the temple if it were neccessary.

This shield that God is for Abraham goes a little deeper than would be seen on the surfice.  Let's dig in and feed on that.   The Lord to be a shield is quite different than that metal thing.  God himself will be that shield.  Look at Deut. 33:29  this shield is help to man. He will protect from enemies and that is the way most relate to the shield, a war instrument.  Ps. 5:12 tells us that a shield, which is God is also favor and grace.
2 Sa. 22:36  shows us a shield of salvation--- not using it as a born again experience. Said that because salvation includes a living active God doing great things for us in the now.
Here is a little side.  When the Greek soldier had a shield, if he lost ir or threw it away it was punishable by death.    In Heb. 10:35  it tells us cast not away your confidence which has great recompence of reward.
confidence goes with faith.  Eph.6 calls it our shield of faith.   So faith is believing God for anything.
God as our shield is all inclusive.  Whatever we need to protect us would be anything---  whatsoever you ask the father in my name he will give it to you--why?-- so the father can be glorified through the son.
What is it you need?  Jesus would say let it be unto you according to your faith.
Today the world doesn't believe in Jesus. It is a certain amount of people who do.  The world always has to develope what they need.
If you hang around a generous rich man,  you don't need money. If you don't you have to go get it another way.  So if you don't need God you invent every device for survival.  Take healing for example. A pill would take place of a miracle.  The world has to get well that's no option.  There is no use telling them to believe for a miracle.  The point is we were of this world born to take the relief of that pill. It will always be that way until we find a alternative.
God is my shield of health. Proof of this is I haven't had a pill or been to the Dr. 38 years.  Honestly it was one time, I had to go because a accident at work. Had to go but refused the medicine which the nurse said you can refuse it. went home that same night. So I didn't really go I was carried.  Well will tell you a little more-- I was cut in half.  Only one inch of bone held two halves together.  To gross to tell more but in 3 days was full well.   To close this  will say this shield is a shield of faith to believe God for whatever you need for your life that protects and keeps you secure.

Gen. 14:23 scriptural prosperity

There's no doubt, Abraham makes it clear.  God is glorified when we receive from him our blessings.
It is possible to have many things and say God gave them. The king of Sodom who is rich wants to give to Abraham many things, but proof here that not all things come from God.
Yes it's true God made all things. He wants us to have many blessings.  The devil offered Jesus the world if he would bow down and worship him. Matt.4.
IF YOU BEG FOR MONEY WHEN YOU PREACH, MOST LIKELY YOU DIDN'T ASK GOD AND WAIT FOR IT TO COME.
Paul when he was in prison said the evil men preach Jesus to contend with him.  Paul let them know no problem at least Jesus is preached.
God is glorified when  his people are blessed. He said ask and receive. Let it be unto you according to your faith.
Remember if you give to a false minister you are supporting his evils. So always pray and you will find the man of God. Then you will be blessed by God and not one like the king of Sodom.  Our father owns the cattle on a 1,000 hills. amen.

Gen. 14:16-28 . Restore and reward.

That righteous Abraham not only goes and gets the goods which were given by God, and taken away, but he receives a tremendous meeting with a king who has a very important place in the bible.
As we examine what Abraham did in helping others to recover their blessings, Abraham pictures what Melchisedec reveals.

Heb.7:1  He is the priest of the most high God.   Jesus who is now our great high priest . Like Melchisedec who has a never ending priesthood,  prays in heaven for us to be strong against our foes. Also to have grace through all circumstances  He undertakes our cause.  This is that which Abraham was doing for others.  Abraham was not able to know Jesus like we do so now we understand that meaning of Melchisede   So Jesus now is filling that place of doing for us what Abraham did for his people.  But of coarse that is on a far greater level and amount of grace.

amazing grace Davidt Coleman

Gen. 13:2-14 being rich.

To understand some things we first have to realise that there is a difference for us.  Abraham and Lot are wealthy in their time with the most important riches. Cattle was what they used for money. They also used metals.  There was also trading.  They had so much that there was no room to stay close together.  We need to see that it was given to them by God.

In Heb. 11:26  This scripture is a very unique one.  Moses here is not so interested in Egypt's (type of the world)  riches.  He doesn't know the Christ--or does he?  He stood face to face with him in his pre-incarnate state.  That is the angel of the Lord.  The wonderful point here is the riches of Christ.

If you know the riches of Christ they include the material as well as the spiritual. But let it be known that the spiritual far out weigh the material.  Will give you a example of that.

Everyone wants to have peace of mind amen??
You can have millions of dollars and not have peace.
The peace Jesus gives is so great that you can have peace with 50 cents in your pocket and have bills colectors knocking at your doors.

Isa. 26:3  he will keep them in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on him.
Phil. 4:7  peace which passeth all understanding.

Both of these promise peace of mind.  Yet they never mention money.  They are the true riches of Christ.
Remember both the wealth of Abraham included that peace as well as cattle. He was under covenant and he knew it.  He learned over time to have faith and trust God.  So included in the receiving also came training.  We have to be trained it just doesn't drop in our laps.  It would be so nice if all we have to do is just give money to the church.  Then we are led to believe that God will flow all the blessings on us.

Abraham could give away all he wanted to but that still didn't bring Issaac to him any sooner. Issaac must come to him in God's timing.  Your needs will come to you in God's timing.  Don't quit being a giver. But don't be deceived by gimmicks to get you to give your money with the false hopes that you will get something right now for giving.  God will still expect your faith to wait till he is ready.

So don't forget that the life of faith is more blessed to receive from God the greater riches of the spiritual life. What you become will go with you to heaven but what you have in possessions materially will be left behind.

Gen. 12:17 special woman

Think of it men,  If God can trouble Pharoah and get him to do right by that woman-- Sarah,  how much more can he make your woman go in the right direction.  Neither Pharoah or Sarah can go on in their seperate ways.  We who desire that our wives go God's way shall not be dissapointed.

That includes our children.  They may be rebelious and stubborn but they are only digging deeper into their own devices.  Living our own way will lead to the end of ourselves.

If we look at Issaac and see how he followed the way his father did that to Pharoah,  It is evident there that it works again and again.  Pharoah let Issaac's wife go to. It says when you get married you become one.  Well then you both have the same eyes on you. God will bless you both or get you into the place of blessing.  It's all grace so quit trying to play with God.  He is no loser we are the losers if we are not in the place of blessing.  Even trials work for our good.

Pharoah is a type of the devil.  he has the right to all people until God hears faith. then it must change.
God made me misserable when he called me into his kingdom.  I am so glad he did.

Gen. 12:7 a new alter

Notice here in v.7  you have a man who is selected to be a leader.
He stands out alone in the picture. Then when you think about Noah he does the same.  There is a simularity there.  1.   they both are before God
           2.   they build a alter.
          3.   God makes covenant with them.
          4.   for them will be new beginnings.  For Noah  starting from region of Ararat,  and for Abraham the land of Canaan.
These  all point to a new beginning and a restoration.
That is what it's all about.   God calls a person to salvation.   Then to the alter  Rom. 12:1-2   sacrifice is upon the alter.  Then seperation from the world. That would be so you could walk in a total new life.
Jn. 10:10  part B. I am come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly. That is what covenant is all about.  covenant of peace.  The Heb. for peace means shalom---total well being. or anything your heart desires.  That was what Canaan was.  A land of plenty where everything was provided for God's people.  They would know no poverty.

2Cor. 5:17   though the word creation is used by many, it says creature. The definition does include creation, but the word creature is used.  That has a significance.  creation speaks of  a momentary thing  example---I am now saved so as to be a Christian.---I have made the prayer and asked Jesus in my heart and now I am his.    but creature has a deeper meaning. After being created, now it will be a life as a creature in a continuous developement.  This creature has within it the capability to develope into a  overcomer in this life from all of the past world's programming.  It will climb on a continuous non-resisting climb to a higher life.
A life of victory,  prosperity,  love, faith,  miraculous asistance from father God. It will move mountains and difficulties out of the way in order to see the kingdom of God promoted.
the negative will be replaced by the positive.  Even in difficult cercumstances will look to father for deliverance.

Of course there is much more because abundant life is more than this page can hold.  Got your attention when said God will supply your every need.  Look at Ps. 84:11   no good thing will he withold to those who walk uprightly.  His righteousness is what is upright.
It's all about relationship with God. Without that we are just a creation but not a new living creature.
My testimony is God has been faithful to me 40 years. And the blessings that have come my way would make your hair stand stright up.    It is faith in his faithfulness.

Gen. 12:1-5 I will bless thee.

What a spectacular moment.  All he has to do is act.  He went---that is where it all began.  He obeyed.  Proof here that God talks with a man. No questions, what shall I do?  He hears he does.  God is going to do big things here.  v.2-3  You talk about the word blessing.  It is a two way deal. He will be a blessing and God will bless him.   Might add everybody will have to bless him.

Somebody messing with you.  Calling you names,  pickin on you.  Bless your enemies do good to them that persecute you for yours is the kingdom blessings.  Here's how it works.  You act right and then God sees that and sends blessings through providence that far outway the problem. Also you will keep your mind righteous.  Yes it's possible that you will be trained in this. Soldiers always train and then when in battle they are equipped to win.

We were trained to hate but God is training us to love---we don't know how in most cases.

v.5  want to laugh?  Here's a original---  Abraham goes out with substance and spirits.  Opps--Does he walk around with spirits?  Well you can see he is blessed because he walks around with substance. He has a lot of it and when it's all over he will have lots more.  That is a visible thing.  Now watch this---He walks around with--souls.  Vines describes them as living breathing creatures.
That was Haran not haunted house. v.5
There's where these souls came from.   So we must see that they are living souls and what's inside of them is their spirit.   The soul comprises a body and a spirit.   Ever here that saying that horse has spirit.  it's a internal thing. That thing manifest outwardly through that body.

Look where they're heading. right towards Canaan. The land of blessing.  I get the distinct idea that God wants to bless, so we can bless, and be a bless, and go towards our bless.  Is it all for Abraham. Last blog post we mention Gal. 3:29  last part of the verse-- ye are Abraham's seed and heirs of the promise.

in the next study we will see a bigger view of this.

holy of holies, David Coleman

God of Abraham, David Coleman

Gen. 9:9 a everlasting covenant.

We may miss something by reading that God made a covenant with Noah with a rainbow. Also really 2 things.
1.  in Gen. 9:16  tells us more.  it is called a everlasting covenant.
2. in 9:9  we see that it is for his seed after him.
Noah is all that is left.  He is the restoration and new beginning.  His seed will be Abraham. So to Abraham we have the seed continuing.  We see that the seed was in Noah.  He has in him that everlasting covenant.  In Gen. 17:7 and 13  show us that Abraham has it now.  The difference is that God creates out of Abraham the new nation.  Noah is all alone, many people came from him. Must be able to say Abraham is in his line.

First God was saying when I see the bow---now he begins to say when I see the blood. Ex.12:13.  When God sees something in this situation, he sees tremendous things. They all point to his special covenant.  A little side here. The word testament means covenant.   We are under the new covenant of his will.

The seed that will eventually come forth is the one that came forth in Mary's womb.
Heb. 13:20  we have the everlasting covenant in Christ's blood.
the seed is Jesus, he is the one who gives us the everlasting covenant through his holy blood.
Jn. 14:16-17  This points to the fact that he can be in you.  That would mean that the seed which is Christ shall be in you. the everlasting covenant shall be in you.
Col. 1:27  Christ in you the hope of glory.
Gal.3:29  if you be Christ's then you are Abraham's seed.  if you are heirs of God then he is yours and then you have all that he is.  All the blessings given to Abraham are the same for us.  God becomes your possession and you his.  That is why we are called the bride. We become in union with God just like a marriage. No divorse  unless we give him up.  Other wise we are bonded together permanently. That is what covenant is all about.
That is what happens when you marry. You share all you have with the other partner.  There still remains respect for one anothers belongings. Don't just take it but ask.  We ask the father in Jesus name for what we need. Jn. 15:16.
All the promises of God are yes and amen. 2Cor. 1:20  That is in him--Jesus.
could go on in this for a long time but remember that the everlasting covenant is our gift from God.

Gen. 8:21 sweet savor in ground

Here Noah offers a sweet savor smell to God.  This sacrifice is a shadow of the offering up of Jesus as a sweet savor.  A very interesting idea came as thinking about the info. obtained about the finding of this blood.

Before doing that, we remember Cain and Abel. It is said that when Abel was slain by his brother, his blood cried to God from the ground. That is when Cain was sent away with a mark on his head to protect him.

There are some things we hear about, which are very convincing, that seem true but we cannot prove them unless we go see ourselves.  If they were true then they may be able to confirm other ideas we have.  That is what I would like to share with you.  It is possible to hear things without having any opinion but just to know they are very interseting ideas.

In the case where Abel's blood cries from the ground, it is repeated in the book of Hebrews.  It seems to have a significant value being it is repeated. that is in 11:4  though he being dead yet it speaketh. we don't want to forget that it says of him he was righteous.  Isa. talks of a righteous servant justifying many.  Isa. 53:11.  The interesting idea comes from the archeologist  Ron Wyatt.  In his youtube videos he tells of the finding of the ark of the covenant.  In the video it shows that the blood shed from the cross fell to the ground, but went into the ground. That happened because the earthquake opened up the ground under the cross. He says he found the the blood laying on the mercy seat which was placed by Jeremiah in just the spot God had him set it.

The idea here is that the blood would cry from the ground of a innocent man killed by his brothers.  Joseph pictures this but instead of him dying, fake blood was put on his coat of many colors.

Out of the many notes that I have written, It may be in the notes about Josiah.  Will try to find it.  There I have written about how the priests were sent to get the ark and bring it --from it's place-- to set it in a permanent place in the temple so it could be there in it's proper place. It tells how they carried it in from somewhere.  Could that somewhere be in the same place where it was returned later?

The idea points to the blood of  righteous man crying from the ground.  That would be cries mercy.  Even that the blood ever liveth.     Well though it is all a idea,  Our sweet offering of Jesus is a absolute fact.  Our big proof is how he lives in us. We can only show that through him living in us for others to see.  Thank you to all who make comments about the posts here.

comment --best bible program

Though it is possible that there may be a better bible computor program,  would like to sudjest E--sword.

The Lord had blessed me in the past with the real books for a very well constructed library.  It was expensive but had the best.  When found e-sword  then I got them all for free.  Once the program is downloaded  you can add to the library on it some books.  Would like to list the books for you with a small description why you would want them.

No commentary is absolutely accurate but some are more reliable.  It is up to the reader to pray and ask the Lord to guide to all truth. Jn. 16:
the J.F.B.  3 men's names is very good.
Keil and Deleitzh  are O.T.  commentary and analyse  deeply the O.T.
RWP  Robertson's  is a N.T.  analysis  of the Greek.
Thayers is definitions of the Greek meanings
BDB  is the Hebrew definitions of meanings
Barnes notes is informative
Naves and Torrey  is great topical word studies
ISBE  is good encyclopedia
Websters is good eng. dictionary

When you see numbers beside the words in the bible then you can go to Thay. and BDB.

Say you are in a bible passage and don't want to lose it--other ref. will line up with that scripture, so then click e-sword again to open a second or third bible .  That means you can have as many bibles open as you want.  just to excite you you can have 20 bibles open at the same time.  that would be  20 JFBs open  ---get it??   Best of all thanks to e-sword it is all free.  God bless.

Gen. 8:21 sweet savor

There is a lot being said in this verse.  It starts out sweet and ends  sweet.

basically the verse in the Hebrew would be read backwards.  In my interpreting it that way it would start with man and his evil imaginations from his youth.   Then the climax would begin.  God would no more curse the ground because of man.  we have a picture here, but in Gal. 3:10-11  grace always removes a curse.  by faith we are made righteous apart from the deeds of the law.

In Zech. 14:11  we have another word here used other than curse. it is utter destruction.  Certainly that is a curse.  How can that be since there is no more curse??   In Gen. 8:22 we have a hint. while the earth remains.  God is going to make adjustments from time to time. He isn't going to flood the earth but actually repair it in the time of the millenium.  a earthquake is a kind of curse.  a tornado, a famine.  But not a destruction of it all.

You see if God doesn't send a flood to wipe it all out because man is continually evil, that is mercy. He still has to deal it a less striking blow.  Any strong blow to mankind is still to lead them to him.
You know man causes his own trouble sometimes. He creates nuclear plants without preparing for the cost of  natural catastrophes.  we can tell the curse is removed we are still here.

While the earth remains--- there is the 7 year tribulation period and 1,000 years of peace on earth. plus the time  of which Jesus spoke in Matt. 24,  that is the time leading up to the trib.

But now for the climax---the sweet smelling savor.  the offering of a lamb. This turned away God's wrath and removes the curse from mankind.  Jesus is the Lamb of lambs. To offer him up as a reason for the removal of sin is tremendous.  Did you know God is sending flood  still??
Isa. 44:3-6     notice 2 things--1.  this is a spiritual thing.  it refers to Jn.4and 7   the water of life. you can see here the pouring out of the Holy Spirit.  v.6  definately a prophetical  statement of a redeemer coming and he is the first and the last mentioned in Rev. 22:   first look at v. 3  there will be no more curse.  then v. 13  I am the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

it appears  that Isa. is talking about the giving of the Holy Spirit and it goes all the way to the very end where Jesus is described as the first and the last. both within the ch. 44:.

All the post points to the fact that because of Jesus the Lamb all wrath is removed from a believer in him. He is the sweet smelling savor that brings restoration and peace on earth.

one Holy Lamb David Coleman

Gen. 6:8 finding grace.

Gen. 6:3  we see that God's Spirit will not always strive with man.   v.6  we see here that man grieved him.
v.8  Noah found grace.
As we view scriptures in other places we can see a tremendous thing for us.
Eph. 4:30 we are told not to grieve the Holy Spirit.  Rom. 8:9  you will have to have the Spirit.
Jn. 14:26 w/ 16:7  the father sent the Holy Spirit in Jesus name.
Heb. 10:29   *********he is called the Spirit of grace****
Noah found that grace through faith and righteousness.
2Cor. 9:8  God can make all grace abound towards you.
Lk. 17:26----37    in v.26  we have as in the days of Noe,  in the rest the context is from the cross to Jesus return.  This grace continues.
Now in Rev. 22:17---21   the bride  (saints)  and the Spirit--say come ---meaning  now both are striving with man.
Rev. 22:21  it ends with grace to you.----After Noah came and did God's will , it was then that the Spirit began to strive with man again.  Before that it is said God will not always strive with man.
it is truly the Spirit of grace saying come through the bride and God's Spirit.
It took the Spirit to even put all this hidden idea together which is written in this post.
grace be with you.

table ready.MOV David Coleman

Gen. 3:15 do not touch the snake!!

It was never designed to play with snakes.  If you come up on one and don't have a choice you can use this information.  If you stomp on it's head  that is where the venom is.  Be sure not to miss his head though.
His damaged head will leave his venom useless.    The prophesy here is that God would bruise his heal to crush the serpent's head.  He was in a situation where he had no choice.

In Joshua 10:24--- did you know that when they brought in the enemy they literally put their feet on their necks??  2Sam. 22:41  here it shows they put the feet on the necks of their enemies.  Ps. 91:13  they shall trample on the enemy.

How about that??  are you ready for the ultimate blessing??
Rom. 16:20  In here the God of peace and grace.   Now in relationship with God and we are in union with him.  Now God deals with the devil under our feet.  We have no power in ourselves. God does it for us. It is through the grace of Jesus that brings this about.   Just one example --this is the victory that overcomes the world --even our faith.  1Jn.5:4

I worship you mighty God David Coleman

Gen.2:9 beautiful trees

God is so wonderful.  He first created all the trees and then he uses them to teach us tremendous spiritual lessons.

Let's look at some scriptures first.  This 2:9  says the trees were made pleasant to the sight.
Heb. 11:3  the worlds were created by the word of God--He is the creator.
Ps. 104:16  the trees are full of sap and God planted them.
Song  5:15  the cedars are here are called excellent. Although he is using it as a analogy of the temple.
Ps. 52:8   He says I am like a green olive tree in God's house.  That was where they got the anointing oil.
Jer. 11:16-17  Now people are refered to as special fruitful trees.
Ps. 92:12   flourish like palm grow like cedar.
Ps. 1:3   shall prosper because like a tree planted by the waters leaves shall be fat and flourishing.
Ps. 37:35  a bay tree has no fruit---this is the ungodly analogy.

These are just a few of many concerning trees.  We look like a very special tree when we lift our hands in praise to God.    see Ps. 134:2  and  141:2  and  28:2  and  63:4  they all tell of raising the hands in praise and worship.
God takes care of the trees.  In revelations he says hurt not the trees.  7:3 and 9:4  only saying that to show he really cares for the earth though he must send his judgements.

May we meditate on the word day and night so shall we prosper Ps.1: We are God's husbandry.--1Cor.3:9.
a tilled or cultivated  field.  so we can bare fruit.   The word of God is like fertilizer to make us grow.  new add--  Isa. 61:3  in this verse we have , they shall be called trees of righteousness.                         I love this---  Romans 11:16 and on,   it shows how the gentiles are graffed in  ( to the tree).                                                                                                                                                                                      Here is a challenge.   I have seen oak tree leaves in the fall, including every color of the rainbow.        Is that perhaps a way God is saying we are trees with a everlasting covenant in us?   The bow  given to Noah was a covenant that was eternal.  Jesus blood was called the eternal covenant--  Hebrews 13:20.

Gen. ch.2 stones

while studying this chapter,  reference to Ex. 31:17 arose.  God had finished his creative work and then he rested and was refreshed.  In the same chap.  Moses receives the tablets with words written on them by God himself.  When you see this and compare it with a couple other passages a tremendous picture arises.

In Acts ch. 3:19  we have the refreshing that comes to man.  The idea here is that through Jesus and his restoring work, souls will come to repentance and salvation.  The kingdom work will also be restoring and reviving.  revive is same as refreshing.  God has spoken through the prophets that this --our time and on would come.

In  1Pet. 2:5  Peter uses the analogy of the saints as being called lively stones.  Add to that  2Cor. 3:2  Paul sees the saints as epistles that are read of all men.  those two put together equal  stones with words written on them.  1. refers to building a spiritual house--not a entertainment center.2.  the other that when people look at you they see the bible through your actions. It's like they read you.

When you add that we are a new creation in Christ Jesus.  This refreshing comes to God and man because he sees the good that he is creating in us. His aim as the 2nd Adam  will culminate in the millenium reign on earth. Garden like situation where there is peace for a 1,000 years.  These living stones will be his faithful church. They will be in the millenial kingdom with him.  His law is written on their hearts  Rom. 2:15
This laws is of the Spirit, Rom. 8:2   God will be refreshed again when he sees the fulfillment of his plans accomplished.  We can hasten this by faithfulness.

Gen. ch.1:

v.22  be fruitful and multiply.

In Gen. 9:1  God tells Noah to be fruitful and multiply.
Gen. 15:5  Abraham be fruitful and multiply.
2Chron. 1:9  people were like the dust of the earth.

There are places today that say you can only have one child.  There is also places that say we are over populated.  With the responsibility of having children comes the need to supply for them.  All the resources in the earth are enough to supply, but man must work and get them.  There really isn't any need for poverty.  two things would help that situation.  first there are those who work---they will have things.  second there are those who are so poor they need to be motivated.  Bottom line you cannot throw up your hands and do nothing.  God promises to bless the hands of his people.  The bible is full of instruction to the poor. He has promised to make us rich if we are motivated to use that wealth for the right purpose.

Children are a gift from God.  certainly he will provide for them. Some believe they have to do it or it won't get done.  It is important to realise that we first must depend on God, then also we must work. That is the balance.  When we work we could fail in our labor. That is proof we need to pray daily.  Phil. 4:19  promise----my God shall supply all my needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. That promise includes all who are poor.  amen.

a continual feast

After spending many years in the bible, it has become obvious that the more you read the more you learn that you know very little. Let me explain.

It has come to the place that though have written a sermon for every chapter in the bible, Then did full book analysis, have created a full additional comment to all Theology, written several books that haven't published yet. It just never ends.

What am saying is, truly God gives rivers of waters of life. He gives a feast all the time. To wet your apetite, the posts start here on sharing some of these things with you. Let's start with the book of Genesis.
